Family Law

Whether it be in a divorce or common law situation, family issues such as custody, parenting schedules, child support, spousal support and property division will be dealt with in fair and reasoned manner. Every case is fact specific and a resolution will be tailored around your circumstances. Although the goal is to reach a settlement by consent, in the event that a Court application is necessary, I have experience at the Provincial, Queen’s Bench and the Court of Appeal of Alberta levels of Court.  I offer a free, confidential 30 minute consultation to discuss your matter and to determine whether you wish to retain my services.

PERSONAL INJURY

If you are injured in a car accident or a slip and fall, legal assistance is recommended to protect your claim. Insurance companies may attempt to negotiate a settlement with you directly, however, consulting with a lawyer is wise to ensure that all heads of damage have been addressed and that you are receiving fair compensation. Call for a free, confidential 30 minute consultation to assess your claim.

REAL ESTATE

The purchase and/or sale of your house or condo is one of the largest financial transactions that you may have to deal with. My conveyance team and I will ensure that the transaction is handled promptly and securely to protect your interests. Rates are competitive.

WILLS, ENDURING POWER OF ATTORNEY AND PERSONAL DIRECTIVES

Preparing a Will provides both you and your family with peace of mind  when dealing with your estate. In conjunction with preparing a Will, you may wish to sign a Personal Directive which instructs medical professionals and care givers on how you wish to be treated in the event of your incapacity to make decisions regarding your person. An Enduring Power of Attorney is a further document which enables a representative to handle your finances in the event of your incapacity to manage your financial affairs.

You may wish to only prepare a Will, but it is cost effective to have all three documents prepared at the same time. Rates vary depending on the complexity of your estate. You may call for a quote.
